Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Stratus Studios LLC ("Stratus Studios", "we", "us") operates Sealpress. By using Sealpress or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Sealpress.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract with us to use Sealpress.

3. Accounts

You do not need an account to design or to export one design free. An account adds one more free design. More exports need a design pass or a monthly plan. If you create an account, use an email address you control and keep it accurate. An account belongs to one person. Keep your password safe, and do not let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us at support@stratusstudios.com.

4. The service

Sealpress designs a 3D-printable dry paper embosser from your text or SVG artwork. Your browser builds the model and the export files.

You decide whether a design suits your printer, your material, and your paper, and you check the fit and the result of each print. Sealpress shows warnings and help, but we do not promise any physical result, such as a working fit or a clean impression.

5. Your content

You keep every right you hold in the text, artwork, and designs you put into Sealpress, and in the files you export. We claim no ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store, copy, and process your content, for example to keep your saved models.

You must have the rights to any logo, trademark, or artwork you use, and to make seals from it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sealpress to:

• do anything unlawful;
• make a seal that copies or imitates a government, notary, court, or other official seal, or a company's seal, that you are not authorized to use;
• make or upload content that infringes anyone's rights;
• attack, probe, or disrupt the service, or try to reach other users' accounts or data;
• scrape the service by automated means, or send it automated load that harms it;
• get around the check that a pass or a plan covers an export.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules.

7. Passes and plans

Design, preview, and saved designs are free. After your free designs, Sealpress offers a design pass and a monthly plan for paid exports. These rules apply:

• A design pass is a one-time payment. It is valid for 5 days from the purchase and covers up to 5 versions. A version is one design state. All formats and parts of one design state count as one version. A download of the same design state again is free while a pass that covers it is valid.
• You can buy more than one pass. Each pass has its own versions and its own end date.
• A monthly plan covers every export while it is active. It renews each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Account, under Billing. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• While a plan is active, you cannot buy a pass or a second plan.
• Stripe processes the payments. We show the price and any taxes before you buy.
• You can ask for a refund within 3 days of a payment. Email support@stratusstudios.com. A full refund or a payment dispute ends the pass that the payment bought.
• When you delete your account, we cancel your plan at once. A restore of the account does not restore the plan.
• We tell you about a price change before the next period starts.
• Nothing in these Terms limits the rights that consumer protection law gives you and that a contract cannot remove.

8. Changes and availability

We may change, add, or remove features, and we may stop offering Sealpress. We do not promise that the service will be available without interruption or free of errors.

We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Sealpress after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You can stop using Sealpress at any time. You can delete your account in Account, with Delete account. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data after deletion.

10. Disclaimers

Sealpress is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that its designs or files will work for your purpose, or that any defect will be corrected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stratus Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising out of or relating to your use of Sealpress. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stratus Studios from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of the content you upload to Sealpress, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Sealpress, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Sealpress. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we do not waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over Sealpress.
